Opportunities to Volunteer
The people building and managing the 3CMS have a wide variety of skills and backgrounds. They also assemble as a virtual team, meaning some people might be in one location, and some people in another. Distance or time zone is not a problem to participate in the 3CMS. Currently the development is being led in the Chicago land area, and we do enjoy occasionally gathering in fellowship.
Version one of 3CMS was entirely written in Visual Studio .NET 2003 and went live on December 7th, 2004. The product has been migrated to .NET 2.0 and the team is now using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Visual Web Developer Express which is Microsoft's latest development environment and technology. It is also available for free. The current production version as of August 2006 was developed using this technology.
The team also uses SourceGear Vault as the source control repository. It is a fast and reliable product that SourceGear donated licenses and upgrades and has helped cooperative development tremendously. This is just one example of how God continues to bless this project.

The 3CMS Foundation is also actively looking for Volunteers willing to make the commitment to be a charter board member to set the future strategic vision for the software and be a partner in prayer so the software can reach many churches and make a huge difference in the lives of people. It's an exciting time, as two years of work and development have already gone into the 3CMS and this board will create future goals and enhancements for the software as well as take an active role in implementing the 3CMS at more churches.
